Construct Military Working Dog Kennel
Design of an 1,800 SF military working dog kennel for care and housing of 10 dogs used in the detection of narcotics and explosives. Structure provided individual kennels and fenced run area for each animal; offices for the non-commissioned officer in charge and kennel master; food storage and prep area; and toilet facilities. Site work included all necessary utilities, an access road and parking area, perimeter fencing and security lighting.
Additional project included addition of six more kennels, a new fenced training area and parking lot with dog isolation area nearby.
This is a project developed for OIC NAVFAC Contracts. Construction value was $369,000 (original project only).
